Aubrey Jack Stephens, 78, of Omega passed away Monday, December 13, 2004, at Tift Health Care. His funeral service was held at 4:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 15, 2004, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with the Rev. Steve Moon officiating. Mr. Stephens was laid to rest at Omega Cemetery.
Neil Key, Randy Dunn, Tincey Pitts, Bobby Jones, Andrew Pisciotta and Andy Hornbuckle served as pallbearers.
Born April 13, 1926, in Fulton, Mississippi, Mr. Stephens was the son of the late Walter Stephens and Lucille Webb Stephens. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Jewel Pilkinton Stephens; two brothers; and two sisters. Before retiring, he was the yard foreman at Quality Concrete Company in Tifton; and he was a member of Omega Baptist Church.
Mr. Stephens is survived by one step-son and his wife, Torry and Loretta Pisciotta of Omega; three brothers, Ken Stephens of Verona, Mississippi, Quinton Stephens of Tampa, Florida and Charles Stephens of Omega; two sisters, Barbara Ruth Windham of Meridian, Mississippi and Shirley Collins of Tupelo, Mississippi; two grandsons and their wives, Don and Shirley Pisciotta and Joey and Tammy Pisciotta; two granddaughters and their husbands, kathy and Marty Roberts and Vickie and Freddie Weeks; and five great-grandchildren.
