John Henry Schofill, Jr. 45, of Enigma passed away Sunday, June 13, 2004, at Tift Regional Medical Center. His funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 16, 2004, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with the Rev. Billy Sumner and the Rev. Rowan Sirmans officiating. Mr. Schofill was laid to rest at Metts Cemetery in Alapaha.
Brian Fletcher, Greg Bell, Jamie Hancock, William Arnold, Neil Farr, and Jimmy Chambers served as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers were Mark James, Allen James, Donnie Davis, Tim O'Neal, Don O'Neal, Steve O'Neal and Charles Flancher.
Born February 27, 1959, in Brunswick, Mr. Schofill was the son of John Henry Schofill, Sr. and Vera Mae Flancher Schofill of Tifton. He worked in service as a repairman at Schofill Appliance Company in Tifton; and he was a member of Corinth Freewill Baptist Church in Brookfield. He had lived in the Tift Area all of his life.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Schofill is survived by his wife, Megan Marie Kudula Schofill of Enigma; two step-sons, Kevin Smith of Enigma and Rocky Cowan of Fitzgerald; one daughter, Stevi Schofill of Alapaha; two brothers and one sister-in-law, Christopher Todd Schofill and Edsel Lee and Kelli Schofill, all of Tifton; two sisters, Kimberly Ann Whitten and Valerie Lynn Schofill, both of Tifton; and several nieces and nephews.
