Kevin David Smith, 24, of Tifton passed away Thursday, August 19, 2004, in Tifton. His funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, August 22, 2004, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with the Rev. Tommy Capps officiating. Kevin was laid to rest at Metts Cemetery in Alapaha.
Kevin's uncles served as pallbearers.
Born September 15, 1979, in Tift County, Kevin was the son of David Smith of Tifton and Megan Smith Schofill of Enigma. He was a painter in the construction business. Kevin was preceded in death by his step-father, John Schofill; his maternal grandfather, John Kudela; and his paternal grandfather, Dolphus Smith.
In addition to his parents, Kevin is survived by one brother, Rocky Cowan of Fitzgerald; one step-sister, Stevi Schofill of Alapaha; his maternal grandmother, Kathleen Kudela; his paternal grandmother, Peggy Griffin; his step-grandparents, John and Vera Mae Schofill; and his aunts and uncles, Shane and Shelly Kudela, Devin Kudela, Colin and Johanna Kudela, Emmitt Smith, Steve and Michelle Smith, Tara Kudela, Christopher Todd Schofill, Edsel Lee and Kelli Schofill, Kimberly Ann Shitten and Valarie Lynn Schofill.
