Hilda Bernice Reliford, 67, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Tuesday, March 12, 2024, at her residence.
Graveside services will be held 4 PM, Friday, March 15, 2024, at Evergreen Cemetery, in Fitzgerald, Georgia, with the Rev. Sammy Smith officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services at the funeral home in Fitzgerald.
Ms. Reliford was born September 9, 1956, in Fitzgerald, Georgia, to Laverne Upton Adair and the late Mancil Wade “Sonny” Adair. She worked for H. R. Kaminsky & Sons, Fitzgerald Underwear, Champion, and for American Blanching for several years. She enjoyed music, singing, cooking and fishing. Ms. Reliford was a wonderful mother who loved her children, grandchildren and extended family.
She is survived by her two sons: William Monroe Reliford, Jr. and William Thomas Reliford; step-children: James William Reliford, Deborah Montine Reliford Byrd and Benjamin Monroe Reliford; grandchildren: Ethan Reliford, Evan Reliford, Tyler Reliford, Anzleigh Reliford, & Trenton Reliford; numerous step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren; her mother; Laverne Upton Adair; two sisters: Mildred & Dewey Taylor and Venice & Elvis Steverson and three brothers: William Wade Adair, James Lee Adair & Naomi Weaver and David Daniel & Jennifer Adair. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a step-daughter, Debbie Purcell and two granddaughters: Kayla Ann Reliford and Jessica Laverne Reliford.
