Marjorie “Marge” (Kopal) MulCahy a longtime member of the Needham Historical Society died Tues July 11, 2006 at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center West Campus in Boston. She was 79.
Born and raised in Chicago IL, she graduated from Rosary College in Chicago. She later moved to Needham where she lived for the past 38 years. She volunteered at the Needham Historical Society and had organized their Pansy Festival and yard sale for many years. She was a member of St. Joseph Parish in Needham and enjoyed gardening, yard sales, board games and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Wife of the late James F. MulCahy Jr., she is survived by her children Margaret Warner and her husband George of Eagle CO formerly of Millis, James F. MulCahy III and his wife Christine of No. Attleboro, Eileen MulCahy Dyer and her husband Thomas of Holden, Joseph P. MulCahy and his wife Karen of Plainville and Mary Bowditch and her husband Mark of Norton; her grandchildren Dan and Beth Warner, Christopher Warner, Lauren Warner, Margaret MulCahy, James F. MulCahy IV, Sergei Dyer, Erin Dyer, Julianne MulCahy, Joseph P. MulCahy Jr., Andrew MulCahy, Nathaniel Bowditch, Erik Bowditch, Heather Bowditch and Jacob Bowditch; her great granddaughter Robin Warner; and a sister Betty Reining of Itasca, IL.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Mass of Christian Burial on Sat July 15 at 10 AM in St. Joseph Church Needham. Interment will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Needham. Visiting hours will be in the Eaton Funeral Home 1351 Highland Ave. Needham on Fri from 5-8 PM.
