John L. Savage of Roslindale, passed away peacefully on February 29, 2024. Beloved husband of Joanne M. (Yarosh) Savage. Devoted father of Mark J. Savage and his wife Kathryn L. Hand-Savage of Norwood and the late Brian T. Savage. Dear brother of the late Rev. Thomas, Paul, and Robert Savage. Loving papa of Kaitlyn “Kay” and Megan Savage. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
John was a proud Vietnam Veteran. He was a member of the 1st Calvary Division of the United States Army. He was also a longtime member of the John P. McKeon AmVets Post 146 in Dorchester.
John’s family wishes to acknowledge the West Roxbury VA Medical Center for their care and compassion towards John at the end of his life.
Visiting hours in the William J. Gormley Funeral Home, 2055 Centre St., West Roxbury, on Friday, March 8th from 4:00pm to 7:00pm. Followed by a Funeral Service at 7:00pm. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Interment Private.
