John A. Tricomi Jr. of Winthrop passed away on March 5, 2024. He was 96 years old. John was the beloved companion to Claire Bianci of Arlington. Born in Boston, he was the cherished son of the late Jennie (Ramirez) and John A. Tricomi Sr.
John was a WWII veteran serving in the U.S. Navy from 1945-1947. John was retired from the Boston Police Department after long and distinguished career, attaining the rank of Sergeant. John was a member of the VFW-Revere, Loyal Order of Moose, Lodge #1910, Saugus Italian American Club, Boston Police Superior Officers Federation and the American Racing Pigeon Union.
John was the devoted father of Jennie Tricomi-Curreri of Stoneham, Paul Tricomi and his wife Tonya of Hernando, FL, Yasmin Sterling-Kfoury and her husband George of Winthrop and Bruce Tricomi and his wife Diane of Marston Mills. John was the adored grandfather of Jessica, Joseph, John Paul, Matthew, Brad, Theresa, Tawnie, Rebal, Paris and the late Joshua and the loving great-grandfather Ziggy Luna and Myles. John was the dear brother of Connie Parisi of ME and was he was predeceased by several brothers.
John’s funeral will be held in St. John the Evangelist Church (St. Michael's Parish) 320 Winthrop St. Winthrop, MA, on Friday, March 8th, at 10AM. Relatives and friends are invited. Please go directly to church. Interment will be in Winthrop Cemetery (Belle Isle Section). In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory can be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Pl. Memphis, TN. 38105.
