Betty Sotack Harper, 90, of Hartwell, Georgia, and formerly of Conley, Georgia, died Sunday, March 3, 2024, at the Hart Care Center in Hartwell, Georgia.
Graveside services will be held at 11 AM, Monday, March 11, 2024 at Satilla Cemetery in Irwin County, Georgia, with the Rev. William Pope officiating. The family will greet friends at the cemetery following the service.
Mrs. Harper was born April 8, 1933 in Amity, Pennsylvania to the late John Sotack & Willella Wiley Sotack. She retired from the United States Army after 29 years of service as a Chief Warrant Officer. She served her country honorably in the United States Army during the Korean War. She was a member of Victory Baptist Church of Forest Park.
She is survived by children: Sons, Lamont (Monty) Harper and wife Patricia of Hartwell and Brent Harper of Stockbridge; three granddaughters, Kelley Harper of Tucson Az, Heather McMichael of Augusta and Rebecca King of Dallas, Ga,; four great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents. she was preceded in death by her husband, Laurice Glenn Harper and daughter Glenda H. Mattern.
