Horace E. Pearman, 81, of Chula passed away Thursday, June 10, 2004, at Tift Regional Medical Center. His funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, June 13, 2004, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with the Rev. Larry Layfield and Dan Taylor officiating. Mr. Pearman was laid to rest at Mount Zion Baptist Church Cemetery in Chula.
Nathan Pearman, Steffen Pearman, Clay Pate, Steve Pearman, Joe Grasser, Murray Roberson, Winfred Roberson and Billy Carter served as pallbearers.
Born August 19, 1922, in Tift County, Mr. Pearman was the son of the late Elbert Pearman and Viola Bass Pearman. He was a farmer; and he was a member of Mount Zion Baptist Church in Chula.
Mr. Pearman is survived by his wife of 56 years, Martha jane Veale Pearman of Chula; two sons and daughters-in-law, Leroy and Carole Pearman of Winter Springs, Florida and Elton and Glenda Pearman of Chula; one daughters and son-in-law, Sandra and Dan Taylor of Nashville; two brothers, Frank Pearman of Chula and Lamar Pearman of Tifton; one sister, Vera Mae Goodman of Chula; four grandchildren and their spouses, Becky Taylor, Christa and Clay Pate, Nathan Pearman and Steffen and Heather Pearman; and one great-grandchild, Abigail Pearman.
