Obituary
Robert S. Morton died Monday evening at his home in Bridgewater after a long illness. He was born in Foxboro, a son of the late Ralph A. and Svea (Svenson) Morton. Mr. Morton has been a resident of Bridgewater (High Pond Estates) since 1993. During WW II he served in US Navy in European Theater serving on USS LST400 in Norway and in the USS Muir. He retired in 1988 as proprietor of Mechtron Tool Company in Brockton after many years. Mr. Morton enjoyed square dancing with the K-Bars in Weymouth, he loved camping traveling around the US in their motor home and belonged to the Camping Hoe-Downers Club. Member of the Golden Agers in Bridgewater.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Dorothy E. (Noonan) Morton, a son, Robert S. Morton, Jr. and his wife Lucille of Port Charlotte, FL and a daughter, Laurie J. Mahoney and her husband Kenneth of Bridgewater, four grandchildren, Robert S. Morton, III of Brockton, Heather Cuff of Wisconsin, Anthony Morton of Port Charlotte, Fl and Nicholas Morris of Bridgewater, a great granddaughter Heidi Cuff, a sister Eleanor Otto of Rochester, NY and many nieces and nephews.
He was the brother of the late Ralph Morton, Jr.
