Obituary

James M. Duffy of Franklin formerly of Dedham, passed away Thursday, February 29, 2024 at the age of 54.

Known to many as “Jimmy”or “Duff”. He loved spending time with his family and friends. You would often find him doing archery, fishing, heading to a car show, or just sitting outside enjoying music with his dogs, Stella, Weezy, Brandy, and Basil.

He is survived by his loving wife Theresa (Pagliuca) Duffy and their children Liliana and Johnny Duffy of Franklin, his mother Patricia (Mulvey) Duffy, and his father, the late John Duffy of Dedham, his sister Karen Wells and her husband Keith and brother John Duffy and his wife Maureen, all of Dedham. Uncle to 13 nieces and nephews, and 5 great-nieces and nephews.

Jimmy’s family was his pride and joy. He was a loving husband devoted to his wife Theresa. They spent 20 memorable years together. Jimmy was a proud father to Lily and Johnny, they were his everything. He taught them many life lessons such as how to change their oil, how to have confidence in themselves, and the importance of a family dinner no matter how late it was.

Jimmy was a hard worker from a very young age. He spent numerous hours as a mechanic working on cars and providing advice to those who asked. You would often find him near a tool box tinkering on a project with a dog at his side. He will be missed by his family for his want to help others, his home cooked meals, and the ability to learn and offer a new fact to whoever was around. He was loved by many.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral Wednesday March 6th, at 9AM from the Charles F. Oteri and Son Franklin Funeral Home 33 Cottage St. followed by a funeral Mass in St. Mary's Church 1 Church Square, Franklin at 10AM. To view the Mass To view the Mass stmarysfranklin.org
