HARRISON & PORTER- LaVerne M Talbot, age 94, passed away on March 1, 2024, after a brief illness in Casco at Country Village Assisted Living. Previously she had been a resident of Harrison and of Porter Me.
She was born in Parsonsfield, Me on Sept. 27,1929 to Leah and Joseph Huot.
She married Charles E Talbot (Teddy) on October 24, 1947.
LaVerne held various jobs, but she was proud of being a housewife and raising her family of 6 children. She was also a big part of her grandchildren’s lives and was always helping take care of them and made so many memories with them and they all loved their Gram dearly.
She loved to work around the house and loved gardening. She enjoyed painting wooden crafts that her husband made. In her later years as her eyesight failed she became an avid country music fan, Patsy Cline and Loretta Lynn were her favorites.
She was a member of Calvary Bible Church.
She is predeceased by her husband Charles Talbot and her son Danny Talbot.
She is survived by her children – Linda Fenderson and her late husband James of Porter; Carolyn Booker and her husband Raymond of Porter; Kenneth Talbot and his wife Kathleen of Hudson; Dana Talbot and his wife Beverly of Porter; Kimberly Lorrain and her husband Tony of Harrison.
She is also survived by 11 Grandchildren, 24 Great Grandchildren and 4 Great Great Grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at the Stanley Cemetery in South Hiram on April 26, 2024, at 2 pm.
