Obituary

New Bedford – Edward J. Wojnar, 83, of Dartmouth, died Tuesday, July 11, 2006 at New Bedford Health Care & Rehabilitation Center.

Born in Dartmouth, son of the late Klementyna (Kaszypska) and Antoni Wojnar, he was a lifelong resident of Dartmouth. He was a 1946 graduate of Dartmouth High School. A veteran of WWII, he served in the United States Navy. Prior to his retirement in 1984, he was a machine operator for Revere Copper and Brass and was a member of the Revere Retirees Local 168. He was a Communicant of St. George Church, Westport. Mr. Wojnar loved sports and fulfilled one of his dreams, which was watching the Red Sox win the World Series with his best friend, the late Andrew Stupalski. He enjoyed watching Wheel of Fortune and Deal or No Deal.

Survivors include a sister-in-law: Erla Wojnar of CA and a loving friend: Ana Belanger of Dartmouth.

He was the brother of the late Theodore Wojnar, Donald Wojnar, Chester Wojnar, Edwin Wojnar, Helen Patraglia and Emily Wojnar.

Calling hours Thursday 8 - 9:30 A.M. at Potter Funeral Home.

Mass of Christian Burial Thursday at St. George Church, Westport at 10:00 A.M.

Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, New Bedford.
