MASHANTUCKET: Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Elder, Stephanie J. (Baker) Dazy passed away on Sunday, February 25, 2024 at her home. She is survived by her husband, Roland J. Dazy, her brother Dewey R. Baker and several nieces and nephews.
Stephanie was born on October 27, 1944 in New London, CT, the daughter of James and Evelyn (Sebastian) Baker.
Stephanie tried to keep herself involved in Tribal affairs. She was involved with the Judicial Committee, Youth Council and was crucial in the Elders Travels. She also was a great advisor to anyone in need.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 5, from 10:00 to 11:00am at the Dinoto Funeral Home, 17 Pearl Street, Mystic. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00am at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Whitehall Cemetery, Hendel Drive, Mystic.
