Obituary

Margaret Cosper Wisham Lindsey, 84, of Lenox passed away Monday, November 15, 2004, at her residence. Her funeral service was held at 3:00 p.m. Friday, November 19, 2004, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with the Rev. James Housel officiating. Mrs. Lindsey was laid to rest at Oak Ridge Cemetery.

Members of the Adult Sunday School Class at Leila United Methodist Church in Omega served as pallbearers.

Born June 11, 1920, in Irwin County, Mrs. Lindsey was the daughter of the late Thomas William Cosper and Exer Beatrice Ethridge Cosper. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Horace Aaron Wisham, who she married in 1936 and who passed away in 1963; her second husband, Charlie Lindsey, Sr.; her siblings, an infant who passed away in 1909, Thelma Cosper Fowler Goodman, Ervin Gleamor Cosper, Bernice Cosper Hightower, Marcus Claiburn Cosper, Florence Cosper Pierce and Mozelle Cosper Prisant; one grandson, Francis Marion Hay, Jr.; two brothers-n-law; one niece; and two nephews. She was formerly employed with Crum & Forster Insurance company and later with Tift Regional Medical Center. She was a member of Leila United Methodist Church in Omega, where she sang in the choir for some 25 years.

Mrs. Lindsey is survived by a special friend, E. Lamar Powell; two daughters and one son-in-law, Barbara Ann W. Hardin of Lenox and Marilyn W. and Francis Marion Hay, Sr. of Moultrie; one brother, Cleon Cosper of Cottondale, Florida; two sisters, Dorothy C. Wishum of Tifton and Laverne C. Beard of Lakeland, Florida; three brothers-in-law, Vivian S. Beard of Lakeland, Florida, Robert Goodman of Tifton and Dallas V. Pierce of Albany; one sister-in-law, Lili Vi Lewis Cosper of Moultrie; one granddaughter, Geri Hasty Shaw; two great-grandsons, Uriah Wade Hall and Garry Mitchell Shaw, Jr.; and many nieces and nephews.
