Obituary

Henry F. Langley, 62, of Tifton passed away Thursday, December 30, 2004, at Tift Regional Medical Center. His funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, January 2, 2005, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with the Rev. Edwin Dillard officiating. Mr. Langley was laid to rest at Oak Ridge Cemetery.

Carl Hancock, Chris Dudley, Ches Ballantyne, Thomas Walker Jr., Nick Bombardier and Franklin Hancock served as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers were Cory Hamilton and Paul Shaner.

Born February 14, 1942, in Tift County, Mr. Langley was the son of the late Ben Langley and Mary Harnage Langley. He was a self-employed truck driver; and he was a member of Believers Baptist Church in Tifton. He was a retired veteran; and he served in the United States Army and the National Guard. He had lived in Tifton for 23 years.

Mr. Langley is survived by his wife, Linda M. Langley of Tifton; two sons, Jr. Langley of Tampa, Florida and Ben Langley of Ellabell; five daughters and one son-in-law, Teresa Langley of Jacksonville, Florida, Gail Cooper and Karen and Eugene Ballantyne, all of Tifton, Lisa Hamilton of Statesboro and Patty Cearon of Savannah; two brothers, Emory Langley of San Francisco, California and Dennis Langley; two sisters, Pay Langley and Judy Lamberth, both of Tifton; eighteen grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren.
