Obituary

Richard Foster Woodward, Jr., 54, of Winchester, formerly of Belmont and Chatham, died suddenly in Burlington on July 9th . Born in Boston, he was the dear son of Richard F., Sr. of Belmont and Chatham and the late Norma A. Woodward. He attended Belmont schools and graduated from Belmont Hill in 1970, and Dickinson College in Carlisle, PA where he earned a B.A. in English. Subsequently, he received his Master’s degree in Communications at Boston University. Formerly the owner of Video Horizons stores in Arlington, Winchester and Bedford, he was most recently the proprietor of a U.P.S. store in Bedford. A resident of Winchester since 1997, he is survived by his daughter, Krista P. Woodward of Winchester. Richard was the former husband of Susan J. Woodward (Crowley) of Winchester. He also leaves his sisters, Nancy Antenore of Scituate and Patricia Woodward Rodda of Stamford, CT, and nephews, Bradley and Benjamin Antenore, both of Scituate. Funeral from the Costello Funeral Home, 177 Washington St., Winchester on Thurs., July 13th at 9AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary’s Church, 155 Washington St. at 10AM. Relatives and friends respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held in the funeral home on Wed. from 6-8 PM. Interment Private. In lieu of flowers, donations in Richard’s memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
