Evelyn M. (McCoy) Mennitto, of Woburn, formerly of Somerville, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 20th. She was 94. Born in Boston, she was the cherished daughter of the late Charles and Evelyn McCoy.
Evelyn enjoyed traveling with her husband Jerry to Arizona, New York and going on various cruises. She found peace in singing; later in life was very active in her Senior Center in Woburn. Evelyn’s biggest passion was being a mom, grandmother and great grandmother. She will be greatly missed by all.
Evelyn was the beloved wife of the late Jerry L. Mennitto. She was the devoted mother of John Mennitto, Anita DeFrancesco and her husband Anthony, and James Mennitto and his wife Diane. She was the loving grandmother of 9 and great grandmother of 15.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to visit with Evelyn’s family at the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, on Friday, March 1st from 9 to 10:30 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Anthony of Padua Church, 12 Properzi Way, Somerville, at 11AM. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
