Obituary

Therese Mary ‘Terry’ (Crispo) Black, 65 of Wilmington, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Sunday, February 11, 2024 at her home. She was the wife of William B. Black with whom she shared the last 42 years of marriage.

She was born in Lowell on June 24, 1958 and was a daughter of the late George Crispo and the late Florence (Lariviere) Crispo. She was raised in Wilmington where she attended the area schools, graduating from Wilmington High School. She then went on to a business management program at Bentley University - Business School. She worked for over 40 years at Bruker Corporation in Billerica until her retirement.

Terry had a deep passion for travel, particularly enjoying trips with her son, Joshua, before his passing. She explored various destinations across the continent, with a special fondness for staying near the ocean. Her love extended to her nieces and nephews, as well as her grandnieces and nephew. Known for her selflessness, Terry possessed a heart of gold, always prioritizing the needs of others above her own.

In addition to her husband, William Black of Wilmington, she is survived by her brother, George A. Crispo, Jr. of Tewksbury, and her sister in law, Ruth Crispo of Reading; and her nieces, nephews, including Cam, who she loved like a grandson; and her grandnieces, and grandnephews.

She was the mother of the late Joshua Daniel Black who passed away in 2014; and sister of the late Mary Therese Crispo, the late Carole J. Gath, the late David G. Crispo, the late Joseph P. Crispo, and the late Georgette Frisch.

At her request, funeral services were held privately and burial took place at Wildwood Cemetery in Wilmington. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital at: St. Jude Donation Link
