Johnny Earl Goddard, Sr., 55, of Berrien County passed away Monday, July 5, 2004, at Tift Regional Medical Center. His funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 7, 2004, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with the Rev. Brantley Seymour officiating. Mr. Goddard was laid to rest at Turner Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Enigma.
Lewis Powers, Jesse McMillan Jr., Tony Simpson, Billy Joe Tucker, Wayne Branne and James Goddard served as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers were Louie Barnes, Steve Archer and Truman Claunch.
Born September 19, 1948, in Ben Hill County, Mr. Goddard was the son of the late Jake Goddard and Monteen Barnes Goddard. He was also preceded in death by one sister. He was an automobile mechanic; and he was of the Baptist faith.
Mr. Goddard is survived by his wife, Linda Joyce McNatt Goddard of Berrien County; one son, Johnny Earl Goddard, Jr. of Berrien County; one daughter, Tammy Sue Goddard of Berrien County; three brothers, Jimmy Goddard, Jakie Goddard and Benny Goddard, all of Tifton; two sisters, Nancy Goddard of Tifton and Tommie Powers of Brunswick; and three granddaughters, Britney Miller, Brandi Miller and Alexandria "Scootie" Becerra.
