Angie Nell McCurdy Gray, 59, of Enigma passed away Saturday, July 24, 2004, at Tift Regional Medical Center. Her funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 28, 2004, in the Memorial Chapel of Tifton's First Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. Wayne Roe and the Rev. Darin Worthington officiating. Ms. Gray was laid to rest at Turner Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Enigma.
William Ferrell, John Watson, Anthony Barnes and Anthony Aultman served as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers were employees of the Tift County Sheriff's Department.
Born July 28, 1944, in Berrien County, Ms. Gray was the daughter of the late James McCurdy and Audrey Swails McCurdy. She was also preceded in death by two daughters, Robin Watson and Tammy Watson; and one son, Joey Watson. She was a housekeeper at the Family Life Center at Tifton's First Baptist Church; and she was of the Baptist faith.
Ms. Gray is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Lee and Tiffany Gray of Enigma; one daughter and son-in-law, Michelle and Rusty Hanson of Enigma; and four grandchildren, Jacob Hanson, Joseph Hanson, Brianna Gray and Austin Gray.
