Royce F. Farmer, Sr., 76, of Tifton passed away Sunday, October 17, 2004, at Phoebe-Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany. His funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 20, 2004, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with the Rev. Tony Combest officiating. Mr. Farmer was laid to rest at Oak Ridge Cemetery.
Benny Famer, Bobby Farmer, Romeo Brock, Ernest Bentley and Bobby Wynn served as pallbearers.
Born June 27, 1928, in Worth County, Mr. Famer was the son of the late J. C. Farmer and Viola Gray Farmer. He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Imogene Luke Farmer; three brothers; and two sisters. He was self-employed in the upholstery business.
Mr. Farmer is survived by his wife, Lucille Hunter Farmer of Tifton; two sons, Foy Farmer of Georgia and Royce3 Farmer, Jr. of Sebastian, Florida; five step=sons, Gary Madaris, Louie Wynn, John Wynn, Billy Wynn and Bobby Wynn; one daughter, Tracey Cragin of Sebastian, Florida; one brother, Benny Farmer of Jacksonville, Florida; one sister, Verna Cameron of Sycamore; nine grandsons, seven granddaughters; one great-grandson; and one great-granddaughter.
