Lucy Phillips Fowler, 82, of Tifton passed away Thursday, March 25, 2004, at Tift Health Care. A private funeral service and burial was held for Mrs. Fowler at a later date.
Born June 22, 1921, in Eastman, Mrs. Fower was the daughter of the late Jake Phillips and Maggie Spires Phills. She was also preceded in death by her husband, James Douglas Fowler. She was a homemaker; and she was of the Baptist faith.
Mrs. Fowler is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Hayward and Glenda Fowler of Tifton; one brother, Barney Phillips of Leesburg; two sisters, Vernell Jewel of Fitzgerald and Sue Taylor of Vanceville; two granddaughters and their husbands, Megan and Wayne Tanton and Duran and Al Moore; and one great-granddaughter, Kylie Anne Tanton.
