Shirley Wood Bostic, 70, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Monday, February 19, 2024, at South Georgia Medical Center in Valdosta, Georgia.
Private services will be held at a later date.
Mrs. Bostic was born January 29, 1954, in Fitzgerald, Georgia, to the late Henry Wilson Wood and the late Alma Cook Wood Mullis. She graduated high school in Milledgeville and attended ABAC in Tifton. She was a homemaker and a member of the Fitzgerald Church of God.
She is survived by her husband of 41 years, George D. Bostic of Fitzgerald; step-children: Dorinda Henderson of Manchester, David Anthony “Tony” Bostic & Gale of Rochelle, Joseph Bostic of Abbeville, and Tina Crosby of Missouri; several step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren; two brothers: Henry Marshall Owens of Warner Robins and Henry Wood & Brenda of Murfreesboro, Tennessee; a sister, Juanita Schlitz of Jeffersonville; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters: Eunida Nasworthy, Martha Ann Collins, and Connie Smith.
