Lisa M. (Frappier) Dowd, age 57, passed away on Feb. 13, 2024 in Towson, Maryland after a courageous 5 year battle with cancer. She was born on Oct. 28, 1966 in Holyoke, MA, daughter of the late Leo P. and Marie (Gagnon) Frappier and was a graduate of Cathedral High School in 1984. Lisa enjoyed a career in travel, working for US Airways for 19 years. She transitioned to a career in nursing in 2005 when she became a registered nurse and worked at Hartford Hospital as a labor and deliver nurse until she was unable to work due to her cancer. Lisa was married to Douglas Dowd of Chicopee for 23 years, until 2009, and they shared three kids and seven grandchildren. She is survived by her two daughters Caitlin (Dowd) and her husband Bob Green of Towson, MD and Emily Dowd of Charlotte NC; one son, Nicholas Dowd of Chicopee, MA and her beloved grandchildren, Henry, Violet, Owen, Scarlet, Sebastian, William and Zoey. A Celebration of life will be held on Fri., Feb. 23, 2024 from 4:00 – 7:00 PM at the Grise Funeral Home, 280 Springfield St, Chicopee. A Funeral service will be held on Sat., Feb. 24, 2024 from 9:30 – 10:30 AM at the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St Rose de Lima Church at 11:00 AM.
