Mildred M. “Millie” Narus
Portex Company of Wilmington Retiree

TEWKSBURY: Mildred M. “Millie” (Driscoll) Narus, age 100, a longtime Tewksbury resident, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 14, 2024.

She was the beloved wife of Peter P. Narus, Jr. who passed away on January 9, 1997.

Born in Boston on October 2, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Cornelius Driscoll and the late Helen (Cavanaugh) Driscoll.

Prior to her retirement, she was employed by the Portex Company in Wilmington, where she worked as an assembler. Millie also worked for the Tewksbury School Department Lunch Program at the former Center School as well as at the former Patten Greenhouse Company of Tewksbury.

Millie loved spending time with her family and always looked forward to the next family get together. She was affectionately known as the “Matriarch” of the Driscoll family and loved every minute of it.

The Narus family would like to acknowledge Millie’s home health aide, Juley Foden for her loving care and who became a dear friend of Millie.

She is survived by her daughters, Donna M. Goulet and her husband Samuel, of Chelmsford and Paulette A. Kapust and her husband David, of Tewksbury: five grandchildren, Shawn and Steven Goulet, of Chelmsford, Christine Goulet and her partner Brett Lifner, of Acton, Christopher Kapust and his partner Gina Oullette, of Sandown, NH, and Brian Kapust, of Tewksbury: one great granddaughter, Lilly Valcourt: her sister, Margaret Goyette, of Halifax: her sister-in-law, Mildred Driscoll, of Dorchester. She leaves many nieces, nephews and extended family members.
Mille was predeceased by her siblings, William, John, Helen, Cornelius, Mary, Richard, Joseph, Frances, Catherine and Patricia.

Calling hours are Monday, Feb. 19th, from 4-8 p.m., at the Farmer & Dee Funeral Home, 16 Lee Street, Tewksbury. Her funeral procession will begin on Tuesday, Feb. 20th, at 9 a.m. at the funeral home, followed by her Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. at St. William’s Church, 1351 Main Street, Route 38, Tewksbury. Interment at Tewksbury Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation at jdrf.org or to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, at stjude.org
