Rita F. Butler, 105, of Fall River passed away on Sunday, February 11, 2024 at Catholic Memorial Home. She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Margaret (Kennan) Butler.
Ms. Butler was born in Warren, RI grew up in Fall River and had resided in Swansea for most of her life. Prior to retirement, she worked for Firestone Tire Co. She was a former communicant of St. Dominic's Church, Swansea. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting and playing cards. Ms. Butler will be remembered as being an unwavering caregiver for her entire family.
Survivors include her 2 nieces: Marianna Butler and Ramona Butler, both of Fall River; 2 nephews: Michael Mulyk of Dorchester and Walter Mulyk of NJ; along with many grand nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late Barbara Mulyk, Joseph Butler, William Butler and Donald Butler and aunt of the late Margaret "Peggy" McCaughey.
Funeral service to which relatives and friends are invited will be Friday, February 16, 2024 at the Potter Funeral Home at 11:00 A.M.
Interment to follow in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Fall River.
