Obituary

Cynthia (Woodill) Wilson

Cynthia ("Cindy”) E. Wilson, 63, of Ventura, California, passed away on Saturday, February 3, 2024, due to a long battle with a chronic illness. She did so with extreme grace and never complained.

Cindy was born on January 25, 1961, in Eugene, Oregon, to Shirley and William Woodill. The daughter of an army officer and the last of six children, she was fortunate to live in and travel to several foreign countries, finally settling in Ventura in 1969. She went to high school at Buena High and graduated in 1979. She found her calling and worked for over 33 years in medical sales at Professional Hospital Supply/Medline, earning a number of recognitions including Sales Rep of the Year. She was extremely generous with her friends and family members. This was her nature, and we were all so proud of her for thinking of others.

Cindy had a passion for Bruce Springsteen. Throughout the years she would attend over 100 of his concerts whether stateside or in Europe! She enjoyed sharing her love for Springsteen with her daughters and sisters. She would often take her beloved sister, Lauri, to many of these concerts. Cindy was the most generous person and made beautiful memories by taking all her sisters to see him in concert in locations such as Ireland, Amsterdam, Germany, and Paris. She had become friendly with one of the band members and he would give all the sisters backstage passes. These are priceless memories that all the sisters had.

Cindy is survived by her daughters Jill Yoshida (husband Yuki Yoshida) and Victoria Wilson (fiancé Casey Hillenburg); sister Pamela Seibel; many nieces and nephews, and her two dogs. Cindy is preceded in death by her parents, Lt. Col. William Roy Woodill and Shirley I. Stewart; brother Jim Woodill; sister, Sherry Taladay; sister, Lauri Leach; brother, Scott Woodill and stepfather, Bertram Stewart.

Cindy was the most caring and nurturing mom, sister, aunt and friend anyone could ask for. She will be so greatly missed. We just love you so much.
