Vaughn Tucker, 66, of Tifton passed away Thursday, February 8, 2024, at Tift Regional Medical Center. His funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, February 11, 2024, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. Mr. Tucker will be laid to rest at a later date. The family will receive friends on Sunday, February 11, 2024, at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals from 2:00 p.m. until the hour of the service.
Born June 13, 1957, in Irwin County, Mr. Tucker was the son of the late Homer Woodrow Tucker and Lila Mae Vaughn Tucker. He was also preceded in death by three brothers, Herman “Crawford” Tucker, Timothy Lewis Tucker and James Perry “J.P.” Tucker
Mr. Tucker is survived by one son, James Lee Tucker; one daughter, Deidra Tucker Whiddon (Brandi); three step-children, Jerry, Joel and Denise Ethridge; seven brothers, Howard W. Tucker, Lawrence Tucker, Billy Tucker, Richard Tucker, Dewey Clayton Tucker, Ronald “Joe” Tucker and John Tucker; six sisters, Deloris “Jean” Bennett, Donie Tucker, Odell Briones, Idell Alcantara, Lorene Wood and Kathy Davis; ten grandchildren, Kylee Tucker Gernert, Zoe Tucker, Jozie Brady, Dillon Ethridge, Sage Ethridge, Jayden Ethridge, Ashlyn Ethridge, Jessika Griffin, Dustin Griffin and Levi Griffin; one great-grandson, Beckham Brady; and numerous nieces and nephews.
