Obituary

STANDISH- Lila M. Perry, age 97, passed away on February 5, 2024, at her home surrounded by her family after developing health issues following a fall at the beginning of the year.
She was born in Standish, Maine on September 21, 1926, the daughter of the late Fred Bradeen and Jennie M. (Robbin’s) Bradeen. She attended and graduated from Standish school.
She was married and later divorced the late Chester Vern Perry II. They had two children together; the late David Arnold Perry Sr. and the late Chester Vern Perry III
She worked hard all her life. She mowed the Dow's Corner Cemetery when she was in her late teens and early twenties. She worked in the oil room at GTE for many years.
She loved to bake, especially cakes. She also loved to sew, crochet and knit. She also turned old things into something new. We call it recycling today but she always said it was surviving. She loved to spend time with her family and friends. She was kind to anyone who came to her door. She loved helping people, especially children.
She is predeceased by her parents Fred and Jennie Bradeen, her brother Clayton Bradeen and her sister-in-law and best friend Beverly Bradeen, her sister, Dolores Bradeen, her two sons David Arnold Perry and Chester Perry, at least two grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughter-in-law Rose Perry, grandson Dana Perry and his fiance Lizzie Tinklenberg, granddaughter Tammy Perry and grandson David Perry Jr and several other grandchildren. She is also survived by great-grandchildren: Dana Roy Perry II, Emily Rose White, Kayden Michael Perry, Jonathan David Perry, Tristany Laiken, and several other great-children.
