Floell Banks Driskell, 86, of Tifton went to her heavenly home on Saturday, May 29, 2004, at Tift Health Care. Her funeral service was held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 1, 2004, at New Bethel Baptist Church in Tifton with the Rev. Larry Cone and the Rev. Brantley Seymour officiating. Mrs. Driskell was laid to rest at Tift Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Driskell's grandson served as pallbearers.
Born December 26, 1917, in Irwin County, Mrs. Driskell was the daughter of the late Thomas Monroe Banks and Lula Mae Phillips Banks. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Dawson Wallace "D. W." Driskell; one grandson, one brother; and one sister. She was a homemaker; and she was a member of New Bethel Baptist Church in Tifton.
Mrs. Driskell is survived by one son, Charles Wayne Driskell of Tifton; one daughter, Gloria Moyer of Tifton; two sisters, Gaynell and Leah Evans, both of Tifton; ten grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren.
