Lee P. (Mosillo) Tomasini

Lee P. Tomasini of Quincy, MA, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 30th at the age of 89. Lee was born in Quincy, MA on October 9, 1934 to parents Gerado and Concetta Mosillo of Quincy, MA. Lee is survived by her beloved husband and exceptional caretaker, Rudolph V. Tomasini. Lee and Rudolph were married on August 8, 1959. They lived and raised their son predominately in Quincy, but also in Braintree, MA, and in various parts of the country. Lee is predeceased by their only son, Leonard E. Tomasini, of Petaluma, CA, on August 20, 2008 at the age of 41 after a battle with ALS.

Lee is also survived by her brothers, Peter Mosillo of Quincy, MA, and Jerry Mosillo, of North Weymouth, MA, and sister, Anna Akoury, of Weymouth, MA. She is also predeceased by another sister, Mary Maki of Quincy, MA.

Lee worked at Fox & Hound Restaurant as a bookkeeper before marrying Rudolph. After raising her son, she went back to work for State Street bank, also as a bookkeeper. She was an exceptional Italian cook, a devoted mother, wife and aunt to a large Italian family with many nieces and nephews. She was also a great aunt, a great-great aunt, and loved babies.

Lee was a talented singer and harmonica player. She and her siblings used to play instruments and sing at family gatherings. She loved being with her sister, Anna, helping her raise her four daughters. There was always laughter, good food, and music whenever Lee was with her family.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, February 16, 2024 at Saint Joseph’s Parish at 550 Washington St., Quincy, MA 02169. Viewing from 9am-10am at the Church, proceeded by a full Mass at 10am. Interment to follow at Blue Hills Cemetery, Braintree, MA. All are welcome.
