Clara Croy Daughtry, 87, of Winter Garden, Florida passed away Wednesday, October 6, 2004, at Health Central Hospital in Ocoee, Florida. A graveside funeral service was held for Ms. Daughtry at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, October 9, 2004, at Old Ty Ty Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery, where she was laid to rest. Teh Rev. Arven L. Croy officiated.
Born November 13, 1916, in Tift County, Ms. Daughtry was the daughter of the late John Henry Marchant and Orpha Denby Marchant. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Rufus Grady Croy; two brothers; and three sisters. Before retiring, she worked as a fabricator and Winter Garden Citrus Growers; and she was a member of Park Avenue Baptist Church in Winter Garden, Florida. She moved to Florida in 1951.
Ms. Daughtry is survived by two sons and one daughter-in-law, Dennis Croy of Stockbridge and Dwight and Kathy Croy of Winter Garden, Florida; three daughters and one son-in-law, Grace Spears of Windermere, Florida, Sue Parsons of Winter Garden, Florida and Doris and Danny Wurthner of Oakland, Florida; three sisters, Estelle White of Tifton, Mamie O'Grady of Augusta and Florene Pittman of Brunswick; eleven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
