Lillian Prosser Dorminy, 94, of Tifton, formerly of Alapaha, passed away Monday, May 17, 2004, at Tift Regional Medical Center. A graveside funeral service was held for Mr. Dorminy at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 22, 2004, at Fletcher Cemetery in Alapaha, where she was laid to rest. The Rev. John S. Gibbs, Sr., officiated.
Born February 2, 1910, in Pavo, Mrs. Dorminy was the daughter of the late William Rufus Prosser, Sr. and Mamie Whitfield Prosser. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Hansel Norman Dorminy, who passed away in 1972. She was a homemaker; and was of the Southern Baptist faith.
Mrs. Dorminy is survived by two sons, William Dorminy of Alapaha and Robert Paige Dorminy of Maitland, Florida; and four grandchildren, William Timothy Dorminy, John Daniel Dorminy, Amy Dorminy Benz and Robert David Dorminy.
