WATERVILLE- Charles Leroy Sweet III, age 73, passed away on Feb. 5, 2024, at his sister’s home in Gorham.
He was born on April 27, 1950, the son of the late Charles Jr. and Betty (Parker) Sweet.
He graduated from Waterville High School – Class of ’68, was a graduate of the University of Maine at Orono and worked as a tax specialist over the years.
Charles will always be remembered as a gentle soul who was always willing to lend a hand.
He enjoyed sports and spending time at the family camp on China Lake.
He is survived by his sister- Cynthia and her husband Jim Barr of Gorham; nephews- Ryan and Sean Gagnon; and a great niece- Xara.
A celebration of Charles’ life will be held at a future date at one of his favorite places- China Lake.
