Thomas “Tom” Calautti, a retired Arlington Police Officer, died suddenly, Wednesday, July 5th at his family’s vacation home in Maine. He was 68.
Raised in Arlington, Tom served in the army after high school. Upon his return, he joined the Arlington Police and served as a patrolman for over 25 years. A Medford resident for over 40 years, Tom was a dedicated family man who enjoyed the company of his family and friends.
He was the beloved husband of Lois (Christopher) Calautti. He was a devoted father to Thomas Calautti, Jr. and his wife Michele, David Calautti, Stephen Calautti and his wife Barbara, all of Medford, Jonathan Calautti and his wife Josephine of Salem, Christopher Calautti and his wife Amy of Malden. He was a loving “Puppi” to Tommy, Sara, Samantha and Christian. He was a dear son of Eleanor (Lussiano) of Arlington and the late Peter. He was the brother of Robert Calautti of Lawrence and nephew of Pasquale Calautti of Arlington.
Relatives and friends may visit Sunday from 4 - 9 at the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford. Monday, A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Francis Of Assisi Church, Medford, at 10 AM with Reverend Joseph Foster, presiding. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
