Born in Cambridge and raised in Boston's West End and Medford, Maureen was a graduate of Medford High School. She embarked on a wonderful career as a singer and entertainer which spanned four decades and brought her to venues across New England and Canada.

The beloved wife of Joseph DeVito, Jr. with whom she shared 32 years of marriage, Maureen was a loving wife, daughter, sister, aunt and godmother. She also leaves many great friends. The devoted sister of Theresa Rizzo of Saugus, Jody Vadala of Lynn, Jeffrey Vadala of Medford, Nancy Flores of Los Angeles and the late Richard Vadala, formerly of Riviera Beach, Florida, Maureen was a beloved aunt to Tanya Rizzo, Vinnie Rizzo, Joey Rizzo, Keith Vadala, Alton Palmer. She was also a great-aunt to Cassandra Miscowski and Isabella Abreus. To Tanya and Isabella she was a devoted Godmother. Maureen had a special love for her dog Gina, who never left her side.

Throughout her career, Maureen sang and entertained in many musical genres and played with many groups: Right Combination, North Shore Acapella, Street Magic, Up-Town Sound, Uptown Acapella, 2 the Max, and with Jimmy Caserta, her partner and good friend. Her versatility, talent and stage presence added to her success in any type of venue from Faneuil Hall to night clubs, weddings and family events throughout the region. Maureen loved her family, her friends and generously shared her kindness with everyone she knew. Maureen loved time at the beach, enjoyed fishing or just being at the ocean's edge with Joe.
