Robert Earl Bryan, Sr., 77, of Tifton passed away Tuesday, September 7, 2004, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Home in Atlanta. His funeral service was held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 10, 2004, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with the Rev. Jack Perrin officiating. Mr. Bryan was laid to rest at Tift Memorial Gardens.
Born November 26, 1926, in Tifton, Mr. Bryan was the son of the late Farris Bryan and Nellie Bryan. Before retiring, he worked as a security officer; and he was a member of Bethany Baptist Church.
Mr. Bryan is survived by his wife, Doris Beck Bryan of Tifton; four sons, Robert Earl Bryan, Jr. of Pensacola, Florida, and Gary Levon Bryan, David Mark Bryan and William Charles Bryan, all of Columbus; five daughters, Margaret Ann Doer and Jackie Franch, both of Pensacola, Florida, Juanita Akridge of Washington, Mary Ann segars of Lawrenceville and Rita Brewer of Columbus; and fourteen grandchildren.
