Obituary

Nina Mae Taylor Boykin, 69, of Enigma passed away Monday, August 6, 2004, at her residence. Her funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, August 19, 2004, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with the Rev. J. H. Hughes and the Rev. Pete Jones officiating. Ms. Boykin was laid to rest at Turner Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Enigma.

Johnny Benefield, Dwayne Benefield, Terry Gulley, Dale Boykin, Roger Bowling and Anthony Barnes served as pallbearers. Richard Coleman was an honorary pallbearer.

Born June 10, 1935, in Emanuel County, Ms. Boykin was the daughter of the late Homer Richard Taylor, Sr. and Mary Etta McKensey Taylor. She was also preceded in death by two brothers; and two sisters. She was a homemaker; and she was a member of Enigma Baptist Church.

Ms. Boykin is survived by her former husband, Cecil Boykin of Berlin; two sons, Cecil Edward Boykin of Illinois and Charles Edward Boykin of Tennessee; three daughters, Wanda S. Gulley of Berlin, Charlene Benefield of Enigma and Teresa Ann Aultman of Fitzgerald; one brother, Homer Richard Taylor, Jr. of Valdosta; ten grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
