Luther Carl Barnes, 34, of Fort Smith, Arkansas, formerly of Tifton, passed away Thursday, February 5, 2004, at Sparks Hospital in Fort Smith, Arkansas. His funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 10, 2004, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with the Rev. Dan Robinson officiating.
Born June 4, 1968, in Tift County, Mr. Barnes was the son of Ennis R. Barnes and Lucille Stogner Barnes of Tifton. He was employed as a welder.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Barnes is survived by one son, Joshua Thompson of Tifton; two daughters, Amanda Carol Minchew and Tiffany Thompson, both of Tifton; three brothers, Ricky Barnes of Arkansas, Harvey Barnes of Florida and Lynn Barnes of Tifton; and three sisters, Donna Franklin of Omega and Mary Nell Barnes and Chrystal Carasez, both of Tifton.
