Obituary

Margaret E. Thetonia Daigle Harriman Wilson, 97, of Hanson passed away Monday January, 29th, 2024. Wife of the late James Wilson, daughter of the late Alfred B. Thetonia and Mary Palmieri Thetonia Silva.

Margaret was born on August 24, 1926 in Whitman and spent most of her life there. She then resided in Cape Cod for 15 years before moving to Carver, and then to Hanson.

She attended school in Whitman, and worked at Bostonian Shoe and Joubert’s in Whitman. When working on the Cape, she worked at a local bank and volunteered at Eagle Pond Nursing Home in South Dennis and also for the MDA.

Margaret belonged to the Holy Ghost Church in Whitman for most of her life. She enjoyed bowling, dancing, playing cards, and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her daughter JoAnne Winslow, son Gregory Harriman and his wife Wendy, half brother Alfred Thetonia Jr. and his wife Ann, half sisters Florence Thetonia and Elizabeth Feitelberg, a niece Michelle Goad, a godson Robert Clark, 5 grandchildren (Christina Stoltz, Melissa Mains, Danielle Winn, Devon Danielson, and Todd Harriman), 12 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren, and 4 step children.

Margaret is also predeceased by her son in law, Philip Winslow, two godchildren, Darlene Simoes and Gary Goad, a niece, Cheryl Goad, and two stepsons.

She will be sadly missed by all who called her Mom, Gram, and of course, Gram Gram.

Family and friends are invited to attend Margaret’s visiting hours Tuesday February 6th, from 4:00-7:00 pm in the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth Street (Rte. 58 @ the rotary) Whitman. Her funeral service will be Wednesday, February 7th at 10:00 AM from the chapel, followed by a funeral Mass at 11:00 AM at St. Joseph the Worker Church, Hanson. A Burial will follow at 1:30 PM at the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne.
