Obituary

Sandra L. Grinham, 68, a lifelong Franklin resident, left us on Friday, January 26, 2024 at Milford Hospital peacefully surrounded by family after a long battle with cancer.

Born in Milford on February 13, 1955, she was raised by her now deceased parents Charles “Chubby” Tracy and Elsie Tracy.  She was a graduate of the Franklin High school class of 1972.

Upon graduation, Sandra lived and worked for a time in Cambridge before moving back to Franklin to raise her family.  She was a full-time mother and worked as a part time cashier at Stop & Shop in Franklin for many years.  Being a mother brought her great joy and she was extremely proud of her boys.

Sandra or “Sammy” as her friends and family called her loved flowers, birds, reading, writing and was an avid sports fan. She completed her own bracket every March and looked forward to the Winter and Summer Olympics.

Sandra was a tremendous person who made friends wherever she went. She was a great listener who gave the best advice.  She was truly selfless, always caring for others before herself. She will be remembered by many people fondly.

Surviving are her 2 sons: Michael P. Grinham and his wife Christina of Uxbridge, MA and Timothy C. Grinham and his wife Kelly of Paxton, MA.

She is also survived by her sister Cindy Buck of Woonsocket, RI, and her brothers Edward Tracy of Cumberland, RI and Daniel Tracy of Woonsocket, RI.  She was the sister to the late Karen Tracy Clifford and Pamela Tracy.  She leaves behind many nephews, nieces, cousins, friends and her RI family.

Lastly, she is survived by her two granddaughters Kyleigh and Grace Grinham that brought her so much happiness with their visits and facetimes.  Their hour-long conversations would always end with “We love you Bibi” and her responding “I Love you more.”

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her wake from 4-7 p.m. Wednesday January 31, 2024 at the Charles F. Oteri and Son Franklin Funeral Home 33 Cottage Street Franklin, MA.

In lieu of flowers, donations are welcome to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105 or stjude.org
