Joseph A. Sheehan Jr. of Dracut, passed away January 16, 2024 surrounded by his family. He was born in Lowell, April 25, 1948 the son of the late Joseph A. Sheehan Sr. and Shirley A. Sheehan. Joe grew up in Dracut and graduated from Dracut High Class of 1966. After graduation he attended Northern Essex Community College and then joined the Navy where he was stationed on the USS WASP. Joe was the owner and operator of Puritan Floors in Lowell MA for over 20 years.
Joe lived his life his way. He enjoyed playing golf for years on his league at Hickory Hill in Methuen, singing his Karaoke, enjoying his time at the beach and sitting outside his garage with his bonfires.
He is survived by his wife, Lorraine R. (Twomey) Sheehan of 51 years; his children, Melissa L. Sheehan, Jennifer A. (Sheehan) Lane and her husband, Jonathan of Pepperell, Nicole A. Sheehan, and Brian Sheehan of Dracut; his grandchildren, Jordon, Jacob, Joseph, and Jack Lane, Jason Polk, Steven Currier, and Julia and Brian Sheehan, Jr.. He also leaves behind his brothers, Richard Sheehan and his husband, Robert Gendron of Tewksbury, Lance Sheehan of Dracut and John Twomey of Dracut and his dear friends, Ralph and Genevieve Parasole of Dracut.
