Phyllis Ann Phillinger, 45, of Derry, NH, passed away Sunday January 21, 2024, at her residence in Derry, NH. She was born on February 24, 1978 in Quincy, MA, a daughter of Richard and Elizabeth (Mehrman) Lanord. She had been a resident of Derry for the past 18 years, formerly living in Berkley, MA.
Phyllis was a devoted mother, wife, and friend. She loved her job as a bus driver and cared for all of her students and friends at the station. Summers were her favorite. There was never a day too hot for her. She enjoyed the beaches, cookouts, and laying out by the pool. Her potato salad was a summer staple for all. Phyllis also had a special spot in her heart for animals, she loved them. Without hesitation, she would take in any animal that needed a home. She loved her dogs, Gavel and Judge, and her cat Winston. Phyllis enjoyed spending time with her family and playing cars with her youngest son, Mark. She attended every one of her child's sporting events and cheered them on from the sidelines. Phyllis was one of the kindest, most loving people to have walked this earth.
Phyllis is survived by her husband John Phillinger; two daughters, Julia Phillinger, and Heather Phillinger; four sons, Jack Phillinger, Eric Phillinger, Ethan Phillinger, and Mark Phillinger; brother, Richard Lanord; two sisters, April Lanord, and Suzanne Lanord.
Calling hours will be held on Monday, January 29, 2024, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM in the Peabody Funeral Home & Crematorium, 15 Birch Street, Derry, NH. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, January 31, 2024, at 11:00 AM in Our Lady Queen of Peace Parish in Sacred Heart Church, 72 Washington St, Weymouth, MA, with burial to follow at Village Cemetery, Weymouth, MA. The Clancy-Lucid Funeral Home of Weymouth, MA is assisting the family with services in Massachusetts.
