Obituary

Robert “Bob” Lee Coakley, 72, of Rochester Mills, PA passed away on Sunday, January 21, 2024 at the Indiana Regional Medical Center, Indiana, PA.

The son of Marshall and Mabel (Hall) Coakley, he was born on March 10, 1951 in Hacker Valley, West Virginia.

Bob had served his country in the Army National Guard.

He wed Shirley D. (Ryen) on February 5, 1977 and they shared almost forty-seven years of marriage together.

Prior to his retirement, Bob had worked as a heavy equipment operator in the gas & oil industry.

Bob loved to listen to blue grass music and to play blue grass music on his guitar. He greatly enjoyed dancing. Bob was also very fond of his beloved dogs, Kasey and Kody.

Most of all, Bob loved being with his family, especially his three grandsons.

Bob is survived by his wife, Shirley; his daughter Jodi Rummell (Nick); his three grandsons: Derek, Dylan and Dominic; his two brothers: Arnold Hall and Jim Coakley; his two sisters: Edith Hall and Virginia Coakley; his brother-in-law, Dennis “Denny” B. Ryen and his many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his two brothers: Olden and Woodrow “Woody” and his two sisters: Lea and Juanita.

In respect to Bob’s wishes, he will be joining his brother Woody in West Virginia.
