LACONIA ---- Mary Paradise, 74, loving mother of four amazing daughters, passed away on Thursday, January 18, 2024, after a courageous battle with ovarian cancer.
Mary was born in Warflick, Germany, in 1949. Her family migrated to America seeking a better life. Mary became a US citizen in 1985.
Mary was influenced by her daughters to be a loving and caring woman. She always put others first and found herself in the healthcare industry where she spent more than three decades taking care of the elderly. Mary was extremely passionate about the care she provided and being an advocate for those who could not speak for themselves, which at times got her in hot water.
Mary enjoyed gardening and being outside. She had a passion for seasonal decorating that the neighborhood had the privilege to enjoy (we hope). She had a great sense of humor but you never knew what was going to come out of her mouth LOL.
During her retirement years, she spent some time traveling to Tennessee, North Carolina and ocean trips to Maine. She thoroughly enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, however, Dakota Deforge, boyfriend of granddaughter Madison, brought laughter and humor on a daily basis when she needed it the most!
Mary is survived by her four daughters, Lisa Dockham, Tammy Smith and her husband Kyle, Gloria Davison and her husband Jay, and Angela Juneau and her husband Clinton, her longtime best friend Donna Colcord, two grandsons Nicholas and Brent Bilodeau, three granddaughters, Madison Juneau, Lillie Davison and Madeline Smith, and five great-grandchildren, Aurora, Breadyn, Lyam, Camdyn and Zoey.
We know we can’t have you with us, but we are happy knowing that you got your wings. Goodbye for now, until we meet again.
A private graveside ceremony will be held in the spring at Bayside Cemetery, Laconia, NH.
