Theresa Joan Andersen (Teri) née DiSarcina passed away at her Winchester home with her family by her side on January 7th, 2024. She was born on June 24th, 1933 in Cambridge, the daughter of Cosmo and Sarah DiSarcina. Teri and her family moved to Somerville when she was in high school, where she would eventually meet her husband George Andersen. Teri and George married in April 1957, and in 1963 they moved to Winchester where they would raise their family and become longtime residents. At the time of her death, Teri was 90 years old and had been married to George for 66 years.
In addition to her husband, Teri is survived by her daughter Karen Bartels and her husband Rich Bartels of Winchester, her granddaughter Elizabeth “E.B.” Bartels and her husband Richie Corrado of Arlington, and her cousin and lifetime best friend Anthony DiSarcina of Stoneham. Teri was predeceased by her daughter Christine McHugh of Ellsworth, Maine, who passed 12 years ago.
A private service and interment were held at Wildwood Cemetery in Winchester on January 12th, 2024.
