Marilyn C. (Rebeiro) Andrews, 78, of New Bedford, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 15, 2024. She was the wife of the late James A. Andrews, Sr.
Born in New Bedford, daughter of the late Sylvester C. and Joanna (Silva) Rebeiro, she lived in New Bedford all of her life.
Marilyn worked as a seamstress for many years.
Marilyn enjoyed sewing, making costumes and doing arts and crafts. She had a heart full of love. She fought her illness with such grace and bravery, her spirit remained unbroken.
Survivors include her children, James A. Andrews, Jr., of New Bedford, Clyde M. Andrews of Boston, Manuel J. Andrews of Boston, Joanne A. Andrews of New Bedford, and Dorothy L. Andrews of New Bedford; her siblings, James "Hatman", Clyde, Russell, Gordon, Reva, and Jane; her grandchildren, Nateisha Watkins, Manny J. Andrews, Imani R. Andrews, Najid Andrews-Cook, and Kyalissa Andrews; her great-grandchildren, Jaiden, Serenity, Kai, and Victoria; and many nieces and nephews.
She is predeceased by her sister Marsha.
Her family would like to thank the staff at Fall River HealthCare and Charlton Memorial Hospital for the care given to Marilyn.
Her visiting hours will be held Friday, January 26th from 4-7 PM at the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford.
