Barbara M. Anzalone, of Reading, passed away on Tuesday, January 16, 2024, at the age of 93.
Barbara was born in Boston and lived in Wakefield and Stoneham the majority of her life. Her life was filled with love and dedication to her family. She was a devoted mother to Beth Anzalone, Theodore V. Anzalone, Jr. and Mark Anzalone. Barbara was a graduate of Simons College and received her Master’s degree in Education from Northeastern University. Barbara taught Math and Science at the Witchcraft Heights Elementary School in Salem, MA for 30 years. She retired from teaching in 2003. Barbara enjoyed reading, gardening, watching the Boston Bruins and solving the morning cross word puzzles with her morning coffee. Barbara’s life was full of kindness, warmth and love towards family and friends. Her generosity and compassion will be sorely missed by all that knew her.
Barbara is survived by her children Beth and Mark, 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Barbara’s family would like to express their gratitude to the staff at Artis Senior Living of Reading for their compassionate care and support during her time there.
Interment will be private.
