Wanda S. Kiddey
August 4, 1926-January 11, 2024
Wanda (Self) Kiddey, 97, of Anderson, passed away on January 11, 2024 at Community Northview Health & Living surrounded by her family.
She was born August 4, 1926 in Canton, Ohio, the daughter of George Self and Thelma (Tolley) Garris.
Wanda was a Strong, Kind, Loving, Selfless and Beautiful Woman, inside and out. She lived for her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ and her family. She loved without limits. She will be CHERISHED forever. She was an avid bowler and bowled on several Women's bowling leagues. She was a member of ABWA and had served as president. She enjoyed ceramics, crocheting and spending time with her grandchildren.
Wanda worked production at General Motors retiring in 2002 after 46 years.
She attended Madison Park Church of God and was a member of United Auto Workers Local 662.
She is survived by her two sons, Harold David Carr and Don (Mary) Carr all of Anderson; her brother, Robert Self of Arizona; six grandchildren, Scott (Carie) Carr, Cindy (Mike) Boyd, Chrystal Carr, Christina Salazar, Trevor Carr and Nola Starr; nine great-grandchildren, Austin (Kassandra) Boyd, Ciara (Ryan) Dillon, Adam Carr, Canyon (Lexi) Hasket, Chloe Sutton, Corbin Coleman, Cade Harms, Alondra Salazar, Andrew (Marithza) Salazar; four great-great grandchildren and one on the way; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two siblings, Jim Self and George "Buster" Self, Jr.; and a great grandchild, and her former husband, Harlan Kiddey who passed on February 8, 2020
Funeral service will be at 2:00 PM on Thursday, January 18, 2024 at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service in the West Chapel with Rev. Tom Malbone officiating.
Visitation will be held from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. on Thursday at West Chapel of the funeral home.
Burial will take place on Friday, January 19, 2024 at 2:30 PM at Sunset Hills Burial Park in Canton, OH.
